CHARLOTTE, NC / NEW YORK, NY, USA: Cosmedent, a company specializing in dental esthetics, donated dental products valued at US$728,000 to National Children’s Oral Health Foundation: America’s Toothfairy (NCOHF), lending critical support for Affiliate oral health programs serving at-risk children across the United States. The contribution of dental supplies was distributed to 28 members of the NCOHF Affiliate network.

“A new school year may signify a fresh start to many, but children suffering from untreated dental complications will find it difficult to concentrate on their studies, socialize with classmates, and become successful students,” said Fern Ingber, MEd, NCOHF president and CEO. “Because of Cosmedent’s outstanding donation, 28 NCOHF Affiliates are ensuring a greater number of at-risk children in their area are able and ready to learn, free from the preventable pain of pediatric dental disease.”

Dr K. William “Buddy” Mopper, chairman, and Michael O’Malley, president of Cosmedent, said that they are very proud to be affiliated with National Children’s Oral Health Foundation and its outstanding work for the at-risk children of America.

The NCOHF Affiliate network helps meet the growing need for comprehensive care in their local underserved communities. The national NCOHF Affiliate network is comprised of more than 60 nonprofit health-care programs that share a mission to provide the very best educational, restorative and preventive services for children in desperate need of care.

Through the generosity of caring individuals and corporations like Cosmedent, NCOHF has delivered over US$7 million in funding and donated products to Affiliate partners in less than five years.
